Precise. Gapless. High quality.

The new fibre optics light barrier version from SensoPart, LLK2SLR10, is characterized by its parallel and gapless light beam. It enables the detection, counting and checking of very small parts and edges, irrespective of their position and over the whole width of the sensor head, i.e. 15mm. The fibre is primarily used with the sensor for plastic fibre optics FL 70 Rx-..D. Its big advantage is that with the different operating-mode settings of the sensor, measuring tasks can be handled with an optimum result.

In simple cross-section converters, the single fibres are in a line. Disadvantage: the light beams are not parallel, the light distribution within the line is inhomogeneous. This has a great impact on the detection properties and sensitivity of the optical fibre. This is quite different with LLK2SLR10. Thanks to its high-quality glass lens, the light beams are parallel and the light distribution within the line is steady and homogeneous.

Real-life application of LLK2SLR10

The LLK2SLR10 is especially suited for applications where objects must be detected in a gapless and precise way within a line width of 15mm. Typical applications in the fields of automation and handling are e.g. the detection of stacking heights of packages, detection of diameters and lengths, misalignment of package piles and blister packages, detection of edges and many more.

Thanks to a precise adjustment of emitter and receiver head, the LLK2SLR10 is also particularly suited for measuring applications. A linear and steady signal flow is guaranteed (max. +/-2.5 %) over a width of 15mm. Typical applications are: diameter measurement, detection of edge position, control of part position … in running processes.
