Celebrating SensoPart's 30th Anniversary

Since its founding in 1994, SensoPart Industriesensorik GmbH, under the leadership of Dr. Theodor Wanner, has made remarkable progress. The company has gained international recognition as a leading provider of optoelectronic and vision sensors for factory automation.

Dr. Wanner’s forward-thinking vision, centered on both present advancements aa well as future possibilities, continues to drive SensoPart’s success. He recognizes the increasing importance of AI and chip technology as critical drivers of smarter sensor solutions. SensoPart is dedicated to staying at the forefront of this technological evolution.

The founder and CEO reflects back on key milestones, from breaking ground at the Gottenheim site in 2001 to launching groundbreaking innovations like the BlueLight optical sensor family   and the 2D VISOR® Robotic camera —advancements which led to the need for a new production hall.

SensoPart has positioned itself as a market leader in vision sensors, which play a crucial role in production and factory automation. Its customer base spans industries from automotive and mechanical engineering to electronics and solar, as well as food, pharmaceuticals, intralogistics, and plastics.

In its 30th year, SensoPart continues to demonstrate strong growth. The mid-sized company now employs over 300 people across its locations in Wieden and Gottenheim, as well as its international subsidiaries in France, the United Kingdom, Austria, China, Korea, the United States, and Portugal.

The past year was especially noteworthy for the company, with the addition of Portugal as the seventh subsidiary, and Dr. Wanner’s was nomination for the prestigious Rudolf Diesel Medal.

To celebrate the anniversary year, the entire SensoPart team will embark on a celebratory boat trip on the Rhine on June 13th. This event will provide a special opportunity to connect with the international team, celebrate the successes of the past three decades, and look forward to a prosperous future together.
