More transparency and flexibility with IO-Link
The integration of IO-Link significantly expands the range of possible uses for the Fixed-Focus devices. Users can optionally access additional information, including feedback on the detection stability based on the signal quality. This increases the process transparency and facilitates reliable system monitoring.
Beyond this, Smart functions, such as On and Off Delay, as well as a counter function are available. These allow better adaptation to various applications without altering the foundational idea of easy commissioning.
The proven operating concept remains unchanged
Despite the enhanced communication options, SensoPart continues to consistently employ easy and robust operating concepts. The familiar preset switching points remain unchanged as does the sensor design that is mechanically tamper-proof and has no operating buttons.
Especially in standardized machine and series applications, this offers decisive advantages: Sensor replacement continues to be possible without product knowledge or the need to repeat the teach-in. Settings that have already been defined cannot be changed unintentionally.
BlueLight technology for demanding detection tasks
The sensors in the BlueLight series are designed for demanding detection tasks and are particularly suitable for reliable deployment for black, glossy and semi-transparent surfaces. Against this background, the new IO-Link-capable Fixed-Focus devices are virtually predestined for applications such as detecting semi-transparent packaging or cosmetics packaging, for instance in labeling processes, among other things.
Optimized light spot geometry
In the course of integrating the IO-Link, the light-spot geometry was also adapted. The larger light spot enables even more stable and reliable object detection, even under challenging conditions.
