DTECT® Presence Energetic: Photoelectric diffuse sensor

In industrial automation, maximum precision and reliability are essential – including for object detection. That's exactly what photoelectric diffuse sensors from SensoPart guarantee: reliable detection based on distinguishing differences in material and surface properties between the object and the background. They detect objects with precision and provide maximum process reliability even in demanding applications.

Make your production facilities more efficient and minimize error rates with photoelectric diffuse sensors from our DTECT® series.

Regarding the reflective light switcheS

Photoelectric diffuse sensors with the highest detection accuracy

Photoelectric diffuse sensors detect the presence of objects directly through the intensity of the reflected light and therefore do not require an additional reflector. They enable stable and reliable switching and control of production processes. For maximum flexibility, our energetic photoelectric diffuse sensors also offer various adjustment options – from teach-in to external control lines. Photoelectric diffuse sensors with IO-Link mode can be integrated effortlessly into existing systems, where with little effort their parameters can be configured and they can be put into operation.

Good to know: For applications with changing backgrounds or low contrast differences, photoelectric diffuse sensors with background suppression (BGS) are the right solution, as they use a trigonometric approach for qualifying the distance. Our light barriers are the simplest option for object detection.

Advantages of photoelectric diffuse sensors at a glance

  • Reliable: Unvarying objects are detected accurately.
  • Easy installation: With their compact design and installation without a reflector or separate receiver, the reflex sensors can be integrated flexibly into existing systems.
  • Flexible teach-in: Different teach-in modes allow the sensor switching to be adjusted to a wide variety of processes.
  • Robust design: Every photoelectric diffuse sensor comes with a tightly sealed housing for durability and reliable protection against external influences.

Comparing photoelectric diffuse sensors and light barriers: Find the optimal solution

Perhaps a photoelectric diffuse sensor is actually not the best choice for your application. Factors such as distance and surface properties, as well as environmental and mounting conditions determine which sensor principle will deliver the most accurate result. Whether it's a photoelectric through-beam sensor, a photoelectric diffuse sensor with background suppression, or a photoelectric retro-reflective sensor – even small technical details in the design and functionality can make the decisive difference during operation.

Our overview of the various sensor principles shows you at a glance which one best suits your needs.
