What does the factory of the future look like in practice? At OTH Amberg-Weiden, a flexible and reconfigurable Smart Factory is being developed in which modular, autonomous units work together dynamically. The goal is to enable efficient and economical production even for small batch sizes. One of the key challenges: when a robot picks up a workpiece carrier, its position needs to be detected with high precision. This is where the VISOR® vision sensor and Target Mark 3D technology from SensoPart come into play. Using machine vision, the 3D position can be determined flexibly without the need for complex mechanical guidance systems. This makes it easy to adapt the application to changing production requirements. In this video, Prof. Dr.-Ing.
