What is 3D bin picking?
3D bin picking enables robots to pick randomly arranged parts from bins, boxes, or other containers and position them for the next step in the process. In the 3D Handling System, an AI-based vision system provides the 3D data required for reliable gripping and positioning.
Our solution combines two field-proven industrial VISOR® cameras from SensoPart with integrated illumination and an automatic focus function, AI-based evaluation software from Cambrian as well as a powerful computing unit for local processing. The result is a comprehensive solution that captures image data and interprets it spatially to deliver precise position information.
