In the production of electronic components, components must be screwed together. Automating this process helps screw as many components as possible in the shortest time without compromising quality. To achieve a short cycle time, screwing operations are performed continuously while components move along the conveyor belt, ensuring a fast and efficient process
Accurate fastening requires detecting the current position of each component with a sensor and transmitting this data to the robot. Additionally, the sensor must operate efficiently and quickly to keep pace with the continuous movement of the conveyor belt.
The VISOR® Robotic sensor reliably detects drill holes from a sufficient distance, allowing ample space between the fastening system and the component to prevent damage. Integrated hand-eye calibration enables the sensor to communicate directly in robot coordinates, with calibration possible at any location. Thanks to its high computing performance, the VISOR® provides position coordinates just milliseconds after capturing an image.
