Application example
During the assembly and production of electronic parts, connectors must be attached to printed circuit boards, and wires or cables are inserted in the connectors. The aim of the application is to check whether a connector has been fully inserted into the socket. This is necessary to safeguard the electrical contact.
The difficulty here is that it is not possible to view the connector from the side and the background offers a poor contrast.

The VISOR® Object with calliper detector checks whether the connector is fully inserted in the socket. Interfering reflections are blocked out with a polarising filter.
