Typical applications

Vision sensors and optical sensors in the automotive sector
Pick & place of car body parts

The FT 55-RLAM determines the distance value so that safe gripping is guaranteed.

Measurement of metallic components

The FT 55-RLAM measures reliably even on metallic surfaces thanks to its 4 mm wide light spot.

Coil diameter

The FT 55-RLAM precisely determines the diameter of coils. The sensor measures reliably even on difficult surfaces, e.g. foils or carbon.

Robotics applications

The FT 55-RLAM determines the position of a package in order to grip it with the robot arm.

FT 55-RL2AM - with extra power

The FT 55-RL2AM with laser class 2 is mainly required for energetically difficult objects. The sensor characteristics do not differ formally from the FT 55-RLAM, but this sensor provides the extra portion of power in critical applications.

Metal

Measurements on reflective or shiny objects, e.g. metal sheets, under certain angular positions.

Rubber

Measurement of dark rubber material, e.g. tires or their precursors in automotive production.

Plastics

Positioning of black plastic parts - reliable measurements even when measuring at large angles.
